Tomatoes

There is a certain satisfaction you get from growing your own food.

My tomato plants started out as wee little babies at the beginning of June, and they are now huge, with new tomatoes ripening by the day.

I had my first one this morning on a toasted tomato sandwich.
Simple, yet perfect.

Do you grow any of your own food?

No! We live in an apartment. I wish we could grow our own food.

Between my landlords and myself, we have tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, kohlrabi, cabbage, corn, beets and a bazillion different herbs. It's tomato soup city around here right now... they're ripening way faster than they're being eaten!

I wish I could grow my own food - right now I don't have the space. Your tomato looks perfect!

Yay tomatoes! I've heard that you guys are still having nice summery weather over there still (jealous!), hope it holds out! :)

Those look fab! I live in an apartment, but even so I have a black thumb. I love home grown veggies though!

I wanted to grow tomatoes and some herbs this year on my patio, but then I moved in July and it sort of threw a wrench in that plan as I figured it was not the right summer to embark on gardening. Maybe next year! Those tomatoes look DIVINE.

Ah, I wish I can grow my own food, but I suck at gardening. Tomatoes are the best plants to grow because store-bought ones just suck! Yours are gorgeous!

Garden tomatoes are the best...this is the first yr in the last 4 years that I didn't grow tomatoes. I completely regret it.

I don't grow anything, but I have heard from everyone who had a garden this year that everything grew amazingly well. Love fresh tomatoes!
