I haven't perfected the recipe yet ... but once I do, you better believe I will share it!
This one was pretty good (I used white wine, cream, chicken broth, bacon, garlic, onions, tomato, avocado, salt, pepper, thyme and parsley). The hubby complimented the dinner a bunch of times, but I still wasn't happy with it. It needed more flavour.
Are you overly critical of the things you cook/bake?
Do you tend to like things that other people cook more than things you cook?
I don't think I am overly critical, but when something is GREAT, I know. When it is not, I want to fix it.
I am still searching for a few perfect recipes, including the perfect brownies, the perfect chocolate cake, and the perfect mac and cheese. If you think you have these recipes, please share!
Also, some friends of mine are looking for a gluten-free, vegan cinnamon bun recipe. If you have one, or know where to find one, I would love the link.

What it needs...maybe...is MSG. ;-)
I'm surprised you say it didn't have much flavor though...it's got white wine, cream, chicken broth, and BACON! What about a shot of lemon juice? Maybe you just need something a bit more acidic?
You made it through your vegan week with no trouble at all... you could totally dominate the CSD cleanse!!
I'm not overly critical of the things I bake, but anything I cook will never be "as good as my Mom makes"... such is life, right?
I think this sounds great! I tend to be overly critical when I'm serving food to guests! I always worry they won't like it!
I'm more critical of things I bake, especially since I tend to give them as gifts and I'd hate to give someone something I wasn't 100% confident in!
That looks awesome!! I can't wait for the recipe! I definitely like things other people cook more than I like things I cook. I think things taste better when other people make them.
If it's edible, I'm usually pretty happy :)
You've just been given a blog award by me! http://whatrhymeswithwillis.blogspot.com/2011/03/my-first-blog-award.html
i always love cooking for others but i get super critical over my cooking. im not critical as much with my baking because i feel like since most people dont bake as much, there isnt much to compete with...but when i cook something that people have all the time, they tend to be comparing what they like to what i make.
xoxo
I'm usually really tough on my own cooking. Esp if I someone else is eating it. I tend to think everyone else is an amazing cook!
