I am really struggling with MOTIVATION when it comes to running. Today I had to do my second run for my C25K program (I started with week 3). The hubby and I made a plan to go after dinner, and once I was done eating I totally did NOT want to go for a run. I kept telling myself that I will do it tomorrow, because today I would rather watch TV. I had to force myself to get out there today and just DO IT, because I knew that tomorrow I wouldn't want to do it any more than today. I ended up doing the run, and it actually wasn't that bad. As soon as I stepped outside, I felt good ... it was just getting up and getting my running gear on that was a big struggle. I hope it is not like that every time.

My eats today were really yummmy!!

My morning started with a messy bowl of oatmeal (topped with 1 t PB & CO. Dark Chocolate Dreams, 1 t maple flakes, and 1 scoop chia seeds).

Lunch was an Amy's Burrito, an orange and a cheese stick:

And, look what I got on my way home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the new organic store in my city! They ordered this in, just for me!!!

Of course, when I got home it just had to be done ...

Open up!!

Dinner was a tofu coconut curry. See this post for the recipe.

For a snack this evening I made berry "soft serve" (1/2 cup frozen berries, 1/2 banana, drizzle of Almond Breeze - mixed with Bamix).

I also juiced 3 pears and 1 apple:

(It didn't make a whole lot).

How do you get motivated to run/ workout?

What got me running was reading other blogs of runners. They way they LOVED it and how their speed was increasing by the month made ME want to run. Progress is really addicting! Just be sure to follow your plan. BTW Mmm...how did you like that pb? that is one of my faves!

oh that tofu looks amazing! My husband and I run together so that way one of us always motivates the other!

I love PB & Co.....so yummy! The Dark Choc Dreams is really good also!

I don't run, but exercise every day......I do like Nike...."just do it"....don't think about doing it....it will turn you off every time....good luck and relax!

I know that juicing is beneficial and all, but sometimes I feel like I'm getting gypped. I mean, you probably wouldn't have sat down and eaten 3 pears and an apple, right? But to drink the juice is like nothing.
Bottom line: I'm too cheap to juice regularly :S

It's so hard for me to get motivated to run/workout. It's easier for me to workout in the nicer weather.

Oh goodness that white chocolate peanut butter looks awesome. I really need to find that!

My motivation is how great I know ill feel after. Working out makes me feel so great. The rest of my day is so much better when I run. You just have to remember what it feels like after youve worked out. :)

I'm motivated to run by the fact it's a great fat burner. Now that it's been a week since I ran I'm getting antsy to get out there again. Oh and already paying $70 for my HM is motivation too :-)

LOVE PB & CO.! How nice that they ordered it just for you!

I currently CAN'T run but I'd give anything, ANYTHING, to be able to. Be motivated by the fact that you have a strong, healthy body and it would be a shame to waste that!

I know this will probably not work for you since you already look great - but anytime I don't feel like exercising I just think about how much better I will look and feel in a bathing suit this summer if I get off my butt and do it. Also - music is a lifesaver! Do you run with an MP3 player full of your silly dance music? That helps me SO much.

It's hard for me to run in the middle of the day...so I run in the morning, as soon as I get up. I'm still kind of woozy and sleepy, so running helps wake me up, and it's a gREAT way to start the day. And...it makes me hungry for breakfast, which is always a good thing!

I literally had to go down and get my white chocolate PB and have a little bit...

What I use to get myself running is knowing how GOOD I'll feel after my run, and how icky I'll feel if I don't :( Also having a goal (like C25K) helps I find!

I try to put on my workout clothes right after work (before sitting on the couch!)

Yep-- I always feel the SAME way...putting my clothes on and forcing myself out the door is 90% of the battle when I don't feel like running (or going to the gym). Good for you for making yourself do it!

I have no advice; signing up for a half marathon (and shelling out the registatration money) didn't even motivate me! I never managed to get around to training :D
