Weekend and Eats

This past weekend we spent time with my mom, and ate a late dinner in our hotel at a restaurant called Steps.  We started with some roast beef yorkies, which were great.  We both love horseradish, and thought they could have used even more, although I know that most people probably don't want too much horseradish.

I ordered a pizza which was on special for $10, but wasn't expecting it to be so huge!  We would have been fine with just the pizza as our total food order.  Christopher had the fish and chips, and we took a bunch of the pizza back to our hotel room to have the next day.

On Sunday evening we went to our friends' daughter's third birthday party, and had a wonderful time visiting with friends and seeing the many, many babies and kids that were there.

I ate this delicious plate of food:

And my handsome hubby had this plate, plus another:

Last night we made haystacks for dinner:

And we had our first froyo of the spring the other day - mmm!

I anticipate we'll have many more of these in the months to come.

This evening we're making spaghetti squash again (I'm hooked), and salmon.  We've been eating dinner after 8:00 p.m. a lot lately, as we're getting home pretty late from work, and seem to have a lot of things to get done in the evenings before we get to cooking.  I'm looking forward to the business dying down soon!

How was your weekend?  What did you do?
Do you like horseradish?

Like taco salad, but better :-)
Just rice topped with shredded cheese, taco beef, and whatever taco fillings you like. So good!!

Our evenings have felt long lately because Paul is going through a sleep regression and is fighting sleep! But I know this is a temporary thing and will eventually get better! But I do enjoy the longer hours of day light as it’s nice to have lots of time to get things done in the evening. Phil can help with bedtime and still have plenty of time to get a run in which is really nice.

I like horseradish but don’t eat it often. But I like that it has quite a kick to it!!
