Five on Friday

1)  Lately we have been into the olive bread from our corner grocery store.

We are both carb-lovers, and this bread is perfect.  We toasted it up last weekend and dipped it into the yolks of our cloud eggs.

2)  Recently we used leftover chili up by making homemade fries, and topping them with the chili and a Velveeta cheese sauce.

3)  Last weekend we stayed in and relaxed, and cooked up king crab legs with baked potatoes for dinner.

This week flew by so fast, I didn't even have a chance to tell you about last weekend ...

4)  On Sunday Christopher made a giant pico de gallo omelet with bacon, just like the one I always order in Saskatoon.

Yum!  Cut in half, it was a lovely breakfast for two.  He always makes the best breakfasts.

5)  Last weekend we also roasted a chicken, which we used in dinner on Sunday and Monday (more on that in the next post).

Speaking of chicken, we also snacked on chicken wings some time over the weekend.

And just like that, it's the weekend again.

How was your week?  Do you ever make a new dish with leftover chili, such as chili fries or dogs?  What are you up to this weekend?

Love how we both roasted chickens last week! Right now I'm making stock from the carcass in my crockpot so our house smells amazing!! Those chili home fries look sooo good! I never seem to repurpose chili since I always bring the leftovers to work but when I was a kid my mom would sometime use leftover chili for chili dogs! Those were really good!

This past weekend felt busy for me. I had 2 birthday parties to attend and brought dinner to a friend who had twins recently and did a bunch of other stuff like clean the house, organize our office, and a whole bunch of other errands! Next weekend is much less planned and I am very much looking forward to that!!
