Can you believe tomorrow is Monday already!!? This weekend FLEW by!!
Last night was my friend Tyler's b-day. We ordered food in at his house, and visited with friends. I drank red wine and enjoyed Pad Thai for dinner:
It was a HUGE portion, so I have leftovers to take for lunch tomorrow.
This morning my dad took us out for a family breakfast. I had Smitty's Southwestern breakfast, and way too many cups of coffee.
My little nephew contemplating the menu options. "Hmmmm, shall I have the bacon today, or perhaps the sausage?" He went with the sausage. Silly boy.
We spent the afternoon shopping and playing with the little guy, before going to the hubby's parent's for dinner.
Dinner was beef stew and bread:
For dessert I had some chocolate fondue:
And one oatmeal raisin cookie:
I love spending the day with family :-)
Do you do family dinners very often?
Now for the RENO pics!!
2 years ago we bit off more than we could chew when we bought our house. The renos were a nightmare, but we are sure enjoying the place now! I decided to throw in a few more before pics today so you could really get a feel for the nastiness that we had to endure.

These pictures were taken 2 years ago, so we have changed it up a bit since then (more decorating mostly). Other than that it looks the same now.
G'night friends ... I am going to bed to read one of the many books I want to get through this year.
What are you reading at the moment?
I am reading "Kluge: The Haphazard Construction of the Human Mind". It is fantastic!

wow I can't believe how much work has been done - everything looks soooo nice!!!!
Wow you did an amazing job. It looks so professionally done!
The reno pics are fantastic!! Very inspiring, actually. I'm reading a book for school at the moment-nothing interesting!
Wow those reno's do look like they were ALOT of work but your house looks amazing now!
I love family dinners, its something I miss most about home. When I'm home we have a big family dinner at least once or twice a week!
It looks amazing! We bought our house 5 years ago, and it was pretty much the same thing- the lady that lived there was crazy (she really was!) and a total pack rat. I've never been a house more disgusting. We did the exact same thing- we gutted it down to it's structure and re-did EVERYTHING. Like you said, it was a ton of work, but worth it! Your house is gorgeous now!
Great reno job, I love the black trunk in the office/blogging space.
Taylor
wow, that was a lot of work! great final product :-)
Wow what a great "after pictures"! And the little guy is adorable - contemplating :). I love to readdddd - haha if you ever read my posts you'd know ;) - but I have sooo many books here, I actually don't know where to begin! Yikes. I am reading a "Living Your Yoga" book trying to find balance and peace I guess...but I want to start something easy and light as well like "LA Candy" or something haha :)
Wow the renos look great!
Woah, beautiful work!!! You have some great taste!!! I can't wait to have a house of my own to do all that fun stuff :)
Hey bud, I have family dinners often. Both with Brian's rents and my family.
