When we got home on Sunday evening, Christopher's parents had us over for an early birthday dinner. My birthday was yesterday, and Christopher's is tomorrow.
They made an epic seafood feast!
Some hot appetizers (escargot, calamari, baked scallops, seafood stuffed mushrooms):
Clam chowder soup:
And if that wasn't enough, there was still stuffed salmon and veggies!
After all these delicious eats, we had to take a good break before sharing a piece of pumpkin pie.
Wowzers! I could not fit another bite!
Last night we made khao soi for my birthday dinner.
This evening my dad took Christopher and I out to Rotisserie to celebrate. We ate way too much, and now we are looking forward to relaxing with a show.
I think we're making pokè bowls for the birthday boy tomorrow.
Bring on 35 and 37! We are loving getting older!
If you're Canadian, how did you celebrate Thanksgiving?
When is your next long weekend? How is your week going?
(This short week has just been flying by for us. The weekend will be here before we know it, and we have some fun plans with friends!)

Happy birthday to you and Christopher. I hope you had great days and that the week to come is a great one.
Our next holiday long weekend is Thanksgiving in late November. Americans get Thursday off but most have to work on Friday. I took Friday off since Paul's daycare is closed so it will be a 4-day weekend for Paul and me. But I have next Friday off as Paul's daycare is closed for conferences/training and we close on the new house in the morning! And then we have another long weekend the weekend the weekend out house goes on the market as we are going to the lake after work on Thursday and will stay until Sat or Sun so we are out of the way during the open house/showings. And then we have yet another long weekend the weekend before Thanksgiving as we will move into our house that weekend. So our upcoming long weekends aren't exactly 'fun' weekends as they will involve alot of work but by December we will hopefully be fairly settled.
