Friday Night

My Friday evening was spent watching my precious 5 year old nephew play in his second soccer game.  He had so much fun.  My favourite moment was when he ran over to tell us that he took some kid's shoe in the mouth.  His dad said "right on" and gave him a high five ... and Giovanni ran back into the game.

He is a little trooper.

I realized after the game that I hadn't eaten supper, and stopped to pick up a flamethrower burger from DQ.

I had forgotten how good DQ burgers are.  It had been a while.

I went to bed early last night and am now enjoying a relaxing morning.  I think I am on my 3rd pot of green tea.  I also juiced for the first time in months (green pepper, pear, grapefruit, orange), and ate an apple with cinnamon raisin PB while watching videos on YouTube.

Ahhh, lazy Saturday mornings.

My thesis work is out of my hands for a while, and I have been enjoying the abundance of free time.

What are you up to this weekend?

I wish my Saturday was as lazy as yours...but nope. My daughter and karma made sure of that.

Hope you are having a great Sunday my friend! Your nephew is adorable. :)

Your nephew is so cute, and I love his name!!

I am glad you have more free time! Will be so good to have the thesis completely behind you! My weekend has been full of studying, but I rewarded myself last night by making some yummy lentil enchiladas, which turned out great!

Oh what I would've given for a lazy morning! I was at music festival all day, but I definitely enjoyed the green tea. :)

Yummmmy. I had Indian food this weekend (so I got you beat!) Ha. AND I tried the Stevia drops in my strawberries, which topped my french toast. It was a great addition.

Hope you enjoyed your Mother's Day

Sounds like a fun Friday. We didn't have DQ back home, so I've never had one of their burgers. I need to try one!

Good for you. Sounds like a great start to a grat weekend and some more down time for you.

Saturday night we took my mom out for Mother's Day dinner to a fantastic Greek place (if you stay on the UWS again next time you're in NYC I would highly recommend it). On Sunday I had an afternoon mojito with a friend and then cooked for the week. A weekend filled with good food = love!
