Is it only Tuesday? It feels like I have gone through a whole week already ... blech.

I am not being very productive with my thesis peeps ... I am just having trouble getting into my groove (I think it is because there are so many other things I would rather be doing).

Breakfast this morning was a bowl of POM oats:

I added the arils of 1 POM to the oats as they cooked, and then topped them with 1 tsp of mini chocolate chips, and organic unsweetened coconut.

My mid-morning snack was 1/2 of a glo-bar:

Lunch was leftover chicken, and sweet potatoes:

As well as a fruit cup:

And some cheese:

Dinner was Ristorante Dr. Oetker Spinach pizza:

(The pieces are mini)

And a large side salad:

(lettuce, mushrooms, tomatoes, green onions, green peppers, cranberries, almonds, cheese, and a fig balsamic dressing).

I did some work for my thesis tonight, but no writing - just more research.
There is NO way I will have my draft done for tomorrow like I hoped. Crappy.

I am done working for the night, and am going to make a snack and sneak in a 1/2 hour show with the hubby.

I want to make a Christmas CD (or buy one) over the next few days ...
Any song or CD suggestions?

Just Another Saturday

Yep ... it is late post today ... we were out doing very important things. You know, like playing a Napoleon Dynamite board game, and other such ridiculousness.

You would be jealous of some of the drawings.

(A dolphin/ horse)

(A fox/ monkey). Monkey? Really? Our friend Jeff is a great drawer.

Jealous? I can see if my friends will offer drawing lessons, if you are interested.

Last night I wanted a Green Monster, but had no bananas so I made a blueberry smoothie. My smoothie contained a cup of almond breeze, about 2/3 cup frozen blueberries, and a Mott's fruit cup (berry applesauce):

I enjoyed my smoothie while watching "The Proposal" with hubby. It was cute :-)

Breakfast was some lovely whole wheat pancakes with real maple syrup to dip:

And some java of course:

After a painful morning of avoiding writing my thesis, I had some Annie's Organic mac and cheese for lunch:

Later on in the afternoon I had a Christmasy Lara Bar:

Nom. Nom. Nom.

Before dinner I went for an amazing 90 minute massage. It was the BEST massage I have ever had! I was in heaven. I have had a rough couple months, and this was just what I needed. I am going back for another on Thursday!!

We enjoyed dinner out with friends this evening at a place called Viet Thai. I had the tofu, veggie sizzling hot plate, 1 fresh role, and rice on the side. I used some of hubby's green curry sauce on my rice.

After dinner we went to a friends house and played silly games all evening. I consumed 8 potato chips, 1 ounce of nasty fruit liqueur, and 1 beer throughout the course of the evening.

And now I will sleep.

How was your Saturday? What did you do? Any big plans for Sunday?

Hello blog faces!! Sorry I didn't post yesterday - I wasn't at home all day/ evening/ night.

Recap from Yesterday, Friday the 13th:

I woke up and made a lovely breakfast - pumpkin pie French toast:

I toasted 2 slices of bread, and then dipped them into a mixture of 2 eggs, 1 T unsweetened vanilla almond breeze, 3 drops of this vanilla Stevia that Ron from NuNaturals sent me to try:

And a sprinkle of this:

I then grilled the French toast until perfectly cooked and crispy! Mmmm! The vanilla Stevia added a lovely vanilla taste and smell to the French toast, with a tiny bit of sweetness. Perfect.

Lunch was leftover ham and potatoes:

I dipped the ham in my homemade apple sauce:

I also had one of these:

And one of these:

After work I went out for a drink, and had 1 Caesar. Then the hubby and I packed the car and drove to a small town about an hour from our city. 8 of us drove out to the small town where our friend Heather lives, so that we could hang out at her place for once, instead of her always having to come to the city every weekend. On the way there I ate this:

When we got to Heather's there was cheese all over the counter (leftovers from the cheese party). I attacked this lovely guy:

I also had some crackers with goat cheese on them, and a few other tiny pieces of cheese.

For dinner we went to the local pub/ bar. The hubby and I shared this small basket of battered mushrooms. In case you didn't know ... battered mushrooms are totally a health food. They are. Don't argue.

I ordered the chicken wrap and sweet potato fries:

And I had 4 of these over the course of the evening:

The 9 of us had a great sleepover, all sprawled out across Heather's living room and kitchen floor :-) It was fun!

This morning we got up and went for breakfast before heading home. I had a mushroom and swiss omelette and 3 pieces of bacon. I did NOT eat the toast, and I ate about 3/4 of the omelette, and 1/2 the hash browns:

On the way home we picked up shakes. I had 1/2 of this small vanilla shake:

Being away from the computer for a day is really hard for me! I had SO much to catch up on today. I don't know what I am going to do when I am gone to the Dominican for a week this winter!

Tonight I am thinking of avoiding homework by going to a movie.

Have you seen any good movies lately? What do you recommend?

Turkey Dinner #2

I had full intentions of taking pictures of turkey dinner #2 at my Dad's place ...
I left the house and drove 1/4 of the way there, when I realized I forgot my camera card at home. The hubby turned around and drove home so we could grab it.

We went to my Dad's and enjoyed a wonderful turkey dinner ... and after I inhaled it, I realized - oops ... I forgot to take a pic. I guess it just wasn't meant to be this evening.

I ate:

- 3 Slices of white meat
- about 1/2 cup of potatoes
- 1/4 cup turnips
- 1/4 cup broccoli
- 1/4 cup stuffing
- 3 T corn
- An obscene amount of gravy :-)

I passed on dessert again, but ended up being a little hungry later on this evening. While watching America's Next Top Model I ate this:

(1 piece of old cheddar cheese, 5 Mary's crackers with a bit of light herb and garlic cream cheese, and an unsweetened apple sauce).

Also, I just want to let everyone know that Jocelyn from the blog JocelynEatsFresh is having a wonderful giveaway! Checkout her blog for the details!

I have no idea why, because I didn't work that hard today - but I am wiped. I can barely see straight. So with that ... g'nite peeps.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Well - today we had the first snow fall of the season in my little city. I walked out of the lab this evening to see a fine layer of snow covering the ground, trees, and cars. It was a beautiful sight, however it frightens me just a bit - is winter here already?

It is hard to believe we are almost halfway through October! I have less than 3 months until my whole world is going to change - I will be done school, and not registering for more classes for the first time in 9 years. I am so excited about the prospect of free time. I cannot wait to cook more, bake more and entertain more, and just enjoy life more in general.

I love university - I really do ... but I am done. I need a break. For the first time since I was 17 years old (I am turning 27 next week) I am NOT craving a new semester of classes. I used to love this time of year because it meant registration date was coming soon, and I could pick my classes for the next semester. Well right now I am thankful that I don't have to pick classes. I am finally just done. And I am totally okay with that.

Just some thoughts for this cool October evening :-)

Now on to eats ...

Breakfast today was a Green Monster - obviously! I decided to switch up the pic for your sake.

And a Glo-Bar for carbs/ protein:

This held me over until lunch.
For lunch I had 1 turkey sausage and some mashed sweet potato with some margarine:

I also had a fruit cup:

And a piece of cheese:

After work today I headed straight for the lab to run some more participants through my experiment. I was there until about 7:00, so I bought a small pasta salad to hold me over until dinner. I had about 1/2 cup and then tossed it because it was gross (sorry no pic).

Dinner was something quick and easy since I got home pretty late. I made a can of mushroom soup that I split with the hubby, and some tuna salad that I ate on a few organic rice crackers:

I am going to study for a bit and then head to bed early!
G'nite peeps!
